THE ALTRAC FALL ARREST SYSTEM

Bomac specialises in Altrac, a lightweight, low-maintenance, attractive, adaptable and safety tested high-tensile aluminium rail system that can be tailored to almost any application.

The Altrac system's safety comes from its simplicity. A person's harness is strapped to a Trac Trolley by a lanyard. The trolleys move freely along the track allowing for cleaning and maintenance with ease.

As the rail has almost no deflection, it accommodates multiple users without displacing them all if one person falls, making it ideal for quick retrieval of users if a fall does occur. Unlike rails designed to deflect in the case of a fall, Altrac does not have to be replaced after an incident. It can also be used when the fall clearance is less than 6m, which requires a rigid rail fall arrest system.

It does not rely on intermediate anchor points so there is no hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting the lanyard assembly. The system is lightweight, simple to install and can be made into any size or shape.
